Day 7 Guerrero Negro
to Bahia De Los Angeles 123 miles.
Another beautiful sunny day. Before we left we took a picture of the Green Angels that are assigned to our group: Antonio and Israel
Most of our group got fuel this morning so we headed out in the lead
with about 3 or 4 rigs who also did not need fuel. It was a beautiful drive, back pretty much
the way we came.

Marley 5 minutes later - bored and already asleep
A lot of sharp turns
and big drop offs, but no coming traffic. (Trying to take pictures through the windshield is not the best idea though)
Pretty uneventful until we saw a
pickup truck coming towards us with a yellow flashing light. John said "uh oh, I hope that doesn't
mean there is a wide load coming".
Sure enough about a 1/2 a mile later we saw a wide load coming toward
us. Now these roads are not big enough
for a thin load, much less a wide one.
We alerted all behind us to find a spot to pull over and stop until they
passed. We did not have any where to
pull off, so we got as far to the right as we could. I don't think we could have passed a peso
between us and that truck, it was that close. Don't have a picture of that - too scared to move to get the camera!

The high light was when the Sea of Cortez
came into view. It was so beautiful, we
had to pull over and get some shots.
We all pulled out our lawn chairs as soon as we arrived at 1pm.
In the picture above you can see our geo-cache friends - Riley is holding a red bowl and Karen is sitting in front of him.
We took a long walk on the beach along which are many beautiful small conch shells. Here you can see out foot prints. We walked so far you can no longer see the campers lined up in the background.
As we walked, this injured seagull followed along. He had a broken wing and walked a long time with us. I was wishing I had something to feed him:
We came across what was once a beautiful small hotel on the beach:
And a pretty restaurant that was open:
We had dinner at a local restaurant (not the one above) and then watched pelicans fish as the sun went down
